This almost sounds like an Onion satirical headline, doesn’t it? But it’s true. I guess it’s better to outsource your own job before the company does it for you, right?
An American software company doing a routine audit of their security protocols found something interesting. According to the BBC, one of their computers was being accessed on a regular basis from Shenyang, China. Upon investigating, they found that whoever it was in China logging on had security clearance codes.
It turns out, one of their software designers had outsourced his own job to a Chinese company for one-fifth of his pay, so he could sit at his job and do nothing and collect the other four-fifths.
I have a hard time deciding whether this guy is a genius or an idiot.
I’m leaning towards idiot based on one sad fact. His co-workers said the guy spend most of his new found free time surfing for cat videos and perusing Reddit and E-Bay. You think he could come up with better, more productive hobbies.
