Since the family that holds the copyright to the traditional “Happy Birthday to You!” song is usually jerkish about it and charges royalties, WFMU in New Jersey commissioned a new version that was free for all to use.

According to Slate.com, the public radio station in New Jersey held an open competition for the new song, which was won by Monk Turner and Fascinoma.
The idea is to replace the traditional song with the new one, to screw over the greedy family who charges everybody in sight for its use, and will get down and dirty in the legal mud to defend the copyright.
It is catchy, but can we learn the words in time for Granma’s party? Let’s get started:
“It’s Your Birthday
It’s Your Birthday
It’s A Great Day
That’s why we say
Happy Birthday To You!”
By Jove, I think I’ve got it!!!
