I can’t say I was bullied as a kid, but I did have times where the world seemed to be against me. It just was never constant, like in this story.
I was fortunate to be in a school environment that did not tolerate bullies. The teachers backed up the kids who were being singled out, and if they couldn’t stop it, they sure could make it hard for the bullies to do their handiwork. I saw that slowly change as I got older, but by then I had found my niche, and I was good. Others were not so fortunate.
