As Zombie Apocalypses go, “The Walking Dead” has been calm for a while. But several sources have said there will be a blood letting on Sunday’s finale, the likes of which a popular TV series has never seen.
After a penultimate episode that had a bittersweet ending that you couldn’t see coming until just before it happened, the “Walking Dead” as vowed to top all of its season finales with a battle to to end all TV battles.
“Rolling Stone” magazine this week confirmed the rumors that the season three finale of the popular zombie cable series will be a bloodbath where at least 27 non-zombie characters will bite the dust. (If you’re a fan of the show, you know zombies are pretty much disposable blood bags with the shelf life of a dairy product left in the sun).
In a series that has never been afraid to kill off main characters, this has left fans of the popular show speculating as to who might be offed in the big battle between the Woodbury crew and the Prison crew Easter night.
Let’s go down the list, and look at the odds (FYI — This is based on NO source, it is merely my opinion):
Herschel: No doubt. He’s lived to see one of his daughter’s married, so he’s a goner. 3-5
Glen and/or Maggie: One or the other, because there are no happy story lines on WD. 2-1
Rick: Maybe. Maybe not. 6-1
Andrea: You gotta believe she comes out of the torture scene alive. 25-1
Milton: Hard to say. He’s on the Governor’s bad side, but he’s also quite crafty. 4-1
The Governor: If he goes, it will probably the cliff hanger they leave us with for next season. (“Is he dead or not?”) 7-1
Carl: God, I wish. The kid bugs me, but he represents the future, so NO. 100-1
Daryl: No way this bad ass is dying. Wounded? Maybe. 25-1
Lori’s Ghost: Only if Rick finds a therapist. 100-1
Michonne: This one could go either way. She’s aggressive, which cost Merle this week, so I say yes, but not until the very end. 5-2
Random Woodbury residents: Hell, yes. 3-5
Carol: She is killed to start the big battle, a la Axel a few weeks back. 2-1
Tyrese and Sasha: I think they play a huge role in whether the Governor dies or not, so Tyrese goes, Sasha lives on. Tyrese: 5-1, Sasha 15-1
Morgan: Who? He’s already dead. Dead in the head. 2-1
