If you haven’t seen the hottest viral video going, please enter to see the “Prancercise” routine developed by Joann Rohrback.
She is delightfully unique and I love her.
First, take a look at her strange, but clearly effective exercise routine.
How can you not fall in love with her unbridled joy?
There are two reasons to love Joann:
1) She obviously enjoys her new found exercise, and she appears to be pretty fit, so it works. But look how she’s lost in the moment as she “prances” through the park. She is in a state of zen bliss, no doubt.
2) She wants to share her joy. It’s one thing to discover joy, but to share it with the world is an important next step. Notice how alone she is in her prancing. I hope when she releases her next video, there are hundreds prancing along with her.
And that’s important to me, because I’m pretty sure if I pranced through my neighborhood alone, the police would be called.
Here is Prancercise, defined:
Created by Joann Rohrback, Prancercise® is defined on the official website as “a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and ideally induced by elation.” The exercise looks, to borrow a phrase from the golf world, like a good walk spoiled. Rohrback, who also wrote a book on the subject, says on her website that, “This form of movement, along with dietary and spiritual principles can create the most satisfying, holistic and successful fitness program one could hope to experience.”
May all of us find our joy, zen and bliss, and more importantly, have the courage to share it with the world.
